Did You Indulge During Lockdown And The Summer? It’s Time For Change

We have all been through a lot of changes this year so far. Which may have meant that during the lockdown period and over the summer, you may have indulged a little more than you should have done. Enjoyed larger portions of food, drank a little too much and maybe just decided that you weren’t going to exercise as much as you should. It may have left you feeling a little heavy and deflated. But, now is the time to make some positive changes to your life. With that in mind, here are some of the things that you could do.

Make sure you have the right mindset

It is no good going into a new lifestyle change with a negative attitude. You need to be positive and motivated for the change. A great tip is to refrain from using negative words. For example, don’t describe your eating regime and lifestyle as a diet. A diet makes it sound temporary.

Break the habits that don’t work for you

It’s important to ensure that you break the habits that are not working for you. If you have an issue with snacking during the day make sure you give yourself some healthy alternatives. If you struggle to motivate yourself to exercise at the end of the day switch things around and start a morning workout instead. Sometimes it is the habits that can make us sink back into our old routines. Look at what your problem areas are and make those necessary changes to break those habits for good.

What you put in is what you get out

It might be time to try and give yourself a bout of a reset and fresh start when it comes to changing your lifestyle. This is when an IV option could be considered. Places like ResetIV have different options that you could consider. We all know that our body needs nutrients, vitamins and minerals to function correctly. So this could be a great way to give yourself a reset and fresh slate.

Be your own cheerleader

We can’t expect everyone to be behind us 100%. So it’s vital to ensure that you are your own cheerleader. This means encouraging and motivating yourself daily. A great way to do this is to take photographs of yourself and track your progress.

Be accountable

You need to be accountable for this new lifestyle you are embracing. This is when keeping a food diary and making a note of your exercise regime can ensure that you track your progress. Consistently recording these habits will be a way of working out if you are going wrong anywhere. Or perhaps identify some problem areas that need work.

Sleep better

It may be the holy grail in life, but getting more sleep is a proven way to aid on your weight loss journey. Studies have results that indicate that not getting enough sleep can have an effect on your hormonal levels. Causing you to want to eat more, and the wrong stuff.

Eat better food

Finally, while much is to do with your mindset and physical activity, none of it will work without having a good approach to your food. Eating the right things and ensuring your body has all the right nutrients it needs to function is essential for your lifestyle to take place.

Let’s hope these tips help you to make some positive changes as we head to the end of the year and beyond.
