Youβre on a diet right now, and you believe it to be doing some good for your body. Youβre exercising as well, and even with waking up sore in the morning, youβre much happier than when you didnβt really pay attention to how you live.
However, the reality may not be so cut and dry. After all, some diets just arenβt right for our body types, and whether youβve tried a good amount of different eating plans or not, you can ask yourself a few simple questions to decide if the diet youβre currently on is actually working out for you. So, letβs go through a few of these questions below, to help you get started.
Do You Feel Full After Meals?
Because if you donβt, your diet might not be working out for you! After all, when you eat at mealtimes, you should come away feeling satisfied with what youβve eaten, and not just thinking about the extra portion you wished youβd had, or if thereβs any dessert in the fridge you could quickly whip up, or if that bag of chips still has some leftβ¦
You need to cut out processed foods here. You need fresh, whole foods that actually have nutrition for your body to depend on. Youβll feel satisfied eating meals made out of these foods, and you wonβt be looking for snacks or wanting those bigger spoons to cram some more ice cream in!
Are You Feeling More Energetic?
Feeling energetic is a good indicator of whether or not youβre eating right. Because if youβve switched diets and youβre not quite feeling like you can get up and go as much as you did before, thereβs a good chance this new diet isnβt for you either.
Thankfully, there are many ways you can fit some energy boosting products into your new diet, without having to go back to the drawing board and change up the whole thing. So, look for alternatives, or think about the drinks youβre consuming alongside the food. A juice from somewhere like Goodnature.com could be a good fit here, as juices are packed with nutrients and vitamins that make us feel more lively, and you could have one with each meal if need be.
Do You Feel a Bit Moody?
And finally, think about how youβre feeling inside. Because if youβre quite moody a lot recently, or people have been commenting on how low or grumpy youβve seemed, thereβs a good chance youβre hungry and havenβt realized it! Being βhangryβ is genuinely a scientific fact, and if youβre not feeding yourself right, or youβve cut out all of the snacks you used to love, thereβs a good chance youβve cut foods out too soon, and you need to bring them back.
Your diet might not be working for you, but thatβs OK! You can make some changes, adjust a few things, and feel much better for it. Just donβt ignore the problem and think itβs normal.
