We all have that one person in our lives who we’d dread to get on our Secret Santa slip because they’re just well-known as the one who is super hard to buy for. This can be the brother who doesn’t seem to like much variety in his life or the niece who just seems to have everything and then some, and whenever you ask them what they want for Christmas or their birthday they just shrug and say they don’t need or want anything.
Not very helpful, is it? Especially not when you want to get them something that’s special and they’ll actually use or something practical like gourmet food hampers or clothing, but you have no idea what kinds of things they’d like because they don’t actually tell you or nothing ever seems to please them.
In this post, we’re going to share some ideas for getting gifts for the fussy people in your life so you’re not pulling your hair out trying to come up with something.
Cash:
Okay, we know it seems the laziest and most impersonal gift on the planet, but sometimes it’s actually the only thing that people will really appreciate or use. Let’s be honest, everyone loves money, so if you’re really struggling for something to get for this fussy person in your life – especially if they’re not exactly giving you any help coming up with something, then giving them some cash to buy something for themselves could be the best way forward.
Board games:
Most people love board games, and since there are so many varieties to cover many age groups and interests, then they’re pretty much a good bet for a gift – even for the most fussy of people in your life. Whether it’s for a child to help them learn and explore some creativity, or whether it’s for an adult to have fun and play a drinking game at a Christmas party, there’s truly an endless amount of board games to choose from.
Gadgets:
Gadgets as gifts are a sure winner, and like board games, they come in so many categories and appeal to so many levels of interest that you’re pretty much guaranteed to find something to suit. From VR to laptops and mobile phones, and everything in between, there’s no shortage of cool gadgets on the market today.
A voucher:
Vouchers have been around for a long time, but they’re certainly not an unpopular choice when it comes to gifts. You can choose vouchers to give someone for pretty much anything from massages and meals, to cinema tickets and clothes, and pretty much anything in between. Giving a voucher allows the person you’re giving the gift to the option to get something for themselves that they would truly enjoy and appreciate, but that they may not otherwise buy on their own.
An experience:
This is something that has grown in popularity over the years, and is a great way to give a gift that actually means something to the person who gets it. Things like trips, weekends away, hobby classes, or even something like skydiving are all great examples of things that can be bought as experiences for a fussy person in your life.
