My Schick Hydro Silk Sensitive Care Razor BzzAgent Review:

I have very sensitive skin when it comes to shaving so when I got an email from BzzAgent inviting me to try the new Schick® Hydro Silk® Sensitive Care® razor I got excited. I’ve been using the razor for a while now and I’m a bit disappointed. At first I’m thinking that this razor was going to live up to its name but after a few uses my opinion of the razor has declined a bit. Here are what I thought the pros and cons were for the razor.

Pros:

Hydrates and moisturizes for a day or so.
Glides nicely over the ankle and knee areas with extra lather.
The handle is a nice size for easier gripping.
Comes with extra refills

Cons:

I had to go over some of the same spots 2-3 times to get that silky smooth feel.
Razor burns and red bumps all over the place. It reminded me of using the dollar store razor brands. Not a big fan of that!
My hairs grew back within 2 days. Usually with a good razor I can go almost 4-5 days without shaving.

The first time I used the razor I didn’t use any extra lather (conditioner or the skintimate). That was not a good idea. It didn’t glide as well and my legs were had stubbles after the first shave. I had to go over it a few times to get rid of them. The second time I used it I use some conditioner on my legs before shaving. It did get a better shave but I still felt a little bit of stubbles. So I had to go over a few times to get rid of them. The third time using it I used the skintimate gel and it was the same with the conditioner, I felt the stubbles and had to go over the same spots again to get rid of the hairs. All three times I ended up with razor burns and red bumps.

I don’t think I will continue to use this razor as it doesn’t live up to my expectations. It just doesn’t compare to my other razor. I think the only way I would end up switching to this razor is because of the price other than that I wouldn’t buy it.
