Review:
I was so excited to get this in the mail last week that I used it right away and have been almost every day. This oil has been great cooking with. I’ve made many different dishes with it so far. I like that fact that it doesn’t leave a bad after taste. The flavors of some of my dishes didn’t change. But in others you can kind of taste just a little bit of a coconutty taste but it wasn’t bad at all. It actually enhanced the dishes. I do have to say tho that a little goes a long way. You don’t need a lot when you are sauteing dishes.
I’ve also used this oil as a moisturizer and my skin and hair fell in love. Both my skin and hair has been super soft. I plan on making my own body lotion/butter, face moisturizer and hair conditioner/moisturizer.
The oil comes in a solid form but melts pretty quickly. It is made from fresh organic coconuts from the Philippines and is not made from any kind of machinery. They come from the coconut farmers in the Philippines and is all made the old fashion way.
My over all experience with this coconut oil has been GREAT! I love coconut oil and if you haven’t tried it, you should. Below you’ll find that you too can have a chance to try it by entering the giveaway!
Giveaway:
I’m really excited for this giveaway. This is my very first giveaway that I’m hosting. As you all know, I was sent a 32oz (quart) size jar of Gold Label Standard Virgin Coconut Oil from Tropical Traditions for a review and to host this giveaway.
Here is what they say about their Virgin Coconut Oil!
Win 1 quart of Gold Lable Virgin Coconut Oil!
Tropical Traditions is America’s source for coconut oil. Their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil is hand crafted in small batches by family producers, and it is the highest quality coconut oil they offer. You can read more about how virgin coconut oil is different from other coconut oils on their website: What is Virgin Coconut Oil?
You can also watch the video they produced about Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil: [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4h6eycjf29M]
How to use Coconut Oil: There are hundreds of uses for coconut oil! [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x28yuVzwrMk]
Tropical Traditions has several very popular recipe videos on their YouTube channel that you are free to use.
Tropical Traditions also carries other varieties of affordable high quality coconut oil. Visit their website to check on current sales, to learn about the many uses of coconut oil, and to read about all the advantages of buying coconut oil online. Since the FDA does not want us to discuss the health benefits of coconut oil on a page where it is being sold or given away, here is the best website to read about the health benefits of coconut oil.
WIN IT: One LUCKY reader is going to win a quart of Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil of their own! The giveaway will end June 28th at 11:59PM CT. Winner will have 48 hours to respond before another will be chosen. I absolutely love Coconut Oil and use it for various purposes such as my natural hair, on my skin (while soaking wet for more thorough absorption) and most importantly I consume it due to all of it’s health benefits: that it’s 50% lauric acid, which helps in preventing various heart problems including high cholesterol levels and high blood pressure, weight reduction, digestion, strengthens immunity, helps heals infections and a myriad more of benefits…
